Biographical Information
I was born in 1558
My parents were Antoine de Bourbon and Jeanne d'Albret.
My grandparents were Henri II, Roi de Navarre, and Marguerite d'Angoulême.
I have two living brothers and they are Charles, évêque de Comminges, and Henri, Roi de Navarre and duc de Vendôme. My brothers Henri and Louis-Charles and my sister Madeleine both went with God at a very young age.
My husband is Henri de Lorraine, duc de Bar
I am a most devout Huguenot.
In terms of family, I am related to most all of France, including the Houses of Valois, Guise, Conde, Luxembourg and Lorraine. Because of my relation to Marguerite d'Angoulême, who was the sister of Francois I, I am related directly to the Royal House.
Due to my marriage to the duc de Bar, I am now a sister to Princess Claude de Valois as her husband Charles is my husband Henri's brother.
My title of birth was princesse of Navarre. I was born also the duchesse d'Albret in honor of my mother, and was also given the title of comtesse d'Armagnac. These lands are mine in my own right.
My current position is the same, although now that I am married I also am the duchesse de Bar.
When I was in Navarre with ma mere, I served as one of her ladies in waiting. Now that I am here in the house of our family and enemy, the Valois, I bide my time until my brother becomes the next King of France, God willing.
I am known for my sweet temper and counciling skills. My brother Henri often comes to me in search of advice, even though I am younger than he.
My skills are of the womanly persuits. I love to sing, and do needlework. I especially enjoy tennis.
My home is with my husband in the countryside of Lorraine, however my true heart home is Navarre. Because of my religious beliefs, which he tolerates to a degree, he forbids me to go home to Navarre if even for a visit. It's for my safety.
