Johnnie started faire when he was in high school, helping out a former girlfriend's mother at her handfasting booth at the REC Southern Faire. Having developed a taste for it, he tried unsuccessfully to join the Queen's Court at the faire (St. George at the time), but did not have the inclination of playing a servant. He toyed around faires throughout Southern California as a playtron, but then finally thought he settled down as a wandering druid with the Guild of Boedacea, a Celtic/Welsh reenactment group. Upon attending the Dragonvale Renaissance Faire in Northridge (a.k.a. The Faire With No Shade ™), his best friend and roommate at the time, Mary [Keller] introduced him to Greg [Bratton-Kolschowsky], and the rest is history. Johnnie joined Greg with a local English court group, and stayed there for five years before moving on and helping co-found Ste. Marie's
Johnnie is an interesting bird, having done just about any job humanly possible within reason. He has worked in many different proffesions, but all lead to the customer service industry. He now works part-time, and enjoys homeschooling his son Geordyn. He has recently returned to school, working toward his Bachelor's of Science in Human Services/Management, with the intention of finishing his MA in Marriage, Child and Family Counseling.
